These Hunters Are Hunter-Retards

Posted by fringefamous on 7th October 2008

deer hunterHey, theatrical bitches!

I know you’re bored in your cubicles on this very less-than-entertaining Tuesday. So, why don’t you check out this blog entry and this one? These are two hunting blogs that one of our loyal readers recently sent to us. Apparently, they don’t much like a local show called Deer Camp, which is being produced by the Actors Theatre of Minnesota over at the Lowry in St. Paul.

Our first blog, called Deuce of Davenport (subtitled “a closet full of sports poop”) had this to say about Deer Camp:

“Think of all the fart jokes, the fun pranks they do when one passes out from too much booze, the shootings in the ass, the cornhole on the lawn, the unruly matches of euchre, the games of hide the sausage, trying not to get stabbed by the antlers…”

First of all, I’m super-pumped that a blog with the subtitle “a closet full of sports poop” still has the nut sack to complain about Deer Camp’s fart jokes. That’s just plain outstanding. Second, what’s “hide the sausage”? That sounds more like a theatre game than a hunter game.

We then move to a lovely little blog created by something named Jim Braaten, called the Sportsman’s Blog. Within said blog, Braaten writes the following:

“I can’t help but picture in my mind’s eye a bunch of pompous, high-falutin’ theater goers attending this musical only to more deeply foster a negative attitude about a sport I deeply love.”

Obviously, Braaten has never attended an Actors Theatre of Minnesota show. The theatre-goers, while wonderful arts-supporting people, are hardly what one would call pompous or high-falutin’. In fact, they’re usually one click above what you’d expect to see at a WWE main event or your annoying co-worker’s bachelor party.

In conclusion, I’d like to say…hunters have blogs??!
