Fringie Nominations!
Posted by fringefamous on August 8th, 2008
Okay, fellow fringers! After much deliberation, we’ve finally whittled it down to the absolute best shows and performances from the 2008 MN Fringe (according to us). Of course, we didn’t see every show at this year’s Fringe. Is it possible we missed an awesome show or individual performance? Yes. In fact, it’s likely. Them’s the breaks.
You’ll have two full days to vote on these. Winners of the very first FringeFamous Fringies will be announced Sunday morning. LET THE VOTING BEGIN!

How do you pick the shows? Is it only shows you see? That kind of bites. If you are to do this you should have to see all the shows and not just the ones that are popular. There are many shows that you have not seen and should see if you are to do this little “best of”

This will be hard. All five shows you’ve seen are all pretty good…

Hey! Thanks guys for the great review of “You’re No Fun!” I’m glad you liked it! And thanks on behalf of Katie, Kat, Nick, and Sam for the nominations!
Not sure where to post this, but I think there might should be a link to Bedlam’s page under the “Companies of the Fringe” tab on the right side of the page. We may have done all the work, but they did bankroll us after all, should get them something, don’t you think?
Thanks again, and enjoy the last two days!

Gabe,
I think you’re referring to our “Companies ON the fringe” list, as opposed to “Companies OF the Fringe”…which would be a totally different thing. I don’t think I’d classify Bedlam as a company on the fringe. They’re pretty well-established.
But thanks for the comment!

I have no affiliation with Bedlam whatsoever (only saw one show once, and didn’t much like it) - but you won’t list them because they’re “pretty well established?” More established than, say, Frank Theatre? Or Gremlin? Or Heart of the Beast? Really? Huh.

Yeah, Larry. You understood the comment perfectly. Congratulations!

WTF? You have a list in a sidebar on the right. It is called “Companies ON the Fringe.” Bedlam is not listed. Frank, Gremlin, and HoBT are. What, exactly, did I misunderstand about any given comment?
Just because you couldn’t come up with a good answer, doesn’t mean I misunderstood. Jackass.

Dearest Larry,
I wasn’t being sarcastic. You actually did understand my previous comment perfectly. I do think that Bedlam is more established than Frank and Gremlin. You might be right about Heart of the Beast, though. They probably shouldn’t be listed as a “company on the fringe”. But it’s all a matter of opinion anyway, right?
Tell you what…I’ll put up a link to Bedlam. But only to try and help you with your hypertension. I’m worried about you, Larry.

Dear Fringe Famous,
Even though you are an anonymous opinion blog, and not oh, lets say, a newspaper that is dedicated to printing the truth…I feel that you should definitely change all of your opinions based on what Larry thinks. Clearly, Larry knows what’s up. Shame on you, Fringe Famous for posting your opinions without first seeking Larry’s approval. Hey Larry, I have a few opinions about your Mom that I’d love to talk to you about before I post them.
Sincerely,
I Love Larry
