Teatro del Pueblo will be holding auditions on the evening of April 8 at Baker Community Center (209 West Page St, St. Paul, 55107) for:

Vote for Pedro: A new play for Fringe 2008 about identity heritage and common Latino history, loosely inspired by the hit movie “Napoleon Dynamite”.

La Vida no es Justa: A May film project done in the style of “Tela Novela”

To audition please bring a headshot, resume, and prepare two short contrasting contemporary monologues. Also be ready to read sides.

Lotty Wilson, age 30, an English housewife
Mellersh Wilton, age 32, Lotty’s husband, a lawyer
Rose Arnott, age 38, an English housewife
Frederick Arnott, age 45, Rose’s husband, a writer
Caroline Bramble, age 25, a socialite
Antony Wilding, age 25, an artist
Mrs. Graves, 70s, a London matron
Costanza, 60s, an Italian housekeeper

The play takes place in various locations around London, England, and at a villa in Mezzago, Italy. The year is 1922.

Roles are open to non-AEA actors.

All roles are paid a weekly salary for rehearsals & performances. Travel allowance also paid. Housing is provided in Plainview during Tech. Week & Performance period.
